Description
In this elegant and provocative work, I explore the power and sensuality of the female body through rhythm, repetition, and space. I depict feminine figures and long female legs in high heels moving across a black-and-white chessboard floor, as if taking part in a refined and sophisticated game. Red and wine-toned shades create an atmosphere of intimacy, tension, and glamour.
A special role in the composition is played by floor lamps replacing the women's heads. This visual choice removes individual features and transforms female portraits into anonymous symbols, shifting the focus from identity to form, posture, and movement.
The composition centers on femininity, sexuality, and refined eroticism, balancing elegance with restrained provocation. Female bodies become sculptural forms, while high heels emphasize confidence, power, and sensual strength.
Inspired by Art Deco geometry, Pop Art clarity, and vintage and retro aesthetics, this work merges fashion illustration with subtle elements of erotic art. Glamour, femininity, and timeless elegance coexist here, creating a visual dialogue between control and seduction.
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
