Description
This giclée print is created from the original artwork and faithfully reproduces its elegant and provocative composition. The print explores the power and sensuality of the female form through rhythm, repetition, and spatial balance. Feminine silhouettes and elongated legs in high heels move across a black-and-white chessboard floor, evoking the atmosphere of a refined and sophisticated game.
Deep red and wine-toned accents contrast with the monochrome base, enhancing the sense of intimacy, tension, and understated glamour. A distinctive visual element is the use of floor lamps in place of the women's heads — a deliberate artistic choice that removes individuality and transforms the figures into timeless, anonymous symbols. The focus shifts from identity to posture, movement, and form.
Printed as a high-quality giclée, this work preserves the depth of color, sharp contrasts, and fine details of the original piece. The composition centers on femininity and sexuality.
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
