Description
This vibrant piece captures attention with its bold message and striking imagery. A dark background is contrasted by the bright white of a dove in flight, outlined in blue, symbolizing peace. It is adorned with blue speckled patterns that add an urban dimension. The colorful words "NO POSTING" and "WHY" are superimposed, suggesting a prohibition and posing a provocative question. The use of pink and neon green spray paint creates a rebellious atmosphere typical of street art. In the upper left corner, a small skull with a fixed gaze and wings adds a touch of macabre irony. The artist illustrates a blend of peace and rebellion, encouraging the viewer to reflect on freedom of expression. Presentation
Guti was born in Nancy and lives and works in Montpellier. He came into contact with urban culture very early as he was roller blading, and at the age of 13, he started graffiti. He would paint on different supports : canvas, skateboards... and produce metal sculptures too.
For Guti, free figuration is his way to live in the present. He paints instictively, with aerosol paint, like New York expressionists. He uses posca to contour and highlight the colors. His works are characterized by movement.
Guti creates an explosive, colorful universe. His artworks are marked by expressive freedom and unconventional imaginary characters.
