Description
This striking work depicts a seascape imbued with calm and contemplation. The painting captures a sky beautifully nuanced in shades of yellow and orange, illustrating the delicate hues of a sunset. The serene sea stretches to infinity, embodying boundless tranquility. To the right, a small boat appears, where three figures stand in contemplation. The artist skillfully masters the contrasts of color and light to create an atmosphere that is both peaceful and introspective. The choice of a vast expanse of sky, occupying a large portion of the canvas, accentuates the feeling of immensity and escape. This balanced composition evokes the harmony between humanity and nature, highlighting the ephemeral beauty of the present moment. Each meticulously arranged element contributes to the poetic interpretation of this scene.
Presentation
An artist for 15 years, Charlotte began painting in the French West Indies, thanks to her friend and fellow artist, Anisa Manière. They were neighbors in the pampas. Creation, light, childhood, adventure, family, friendship… freedom. Painting gives her the feeling of capturing simple and true things, the ones you never tire of… Her words on painting: “It guarantees a sweetness of life."
His oil painting technique prioritizes the spontaneity of the gesture and the richness of the material to bring out emotion.
