Description
This impressive painting captures the emotional intensity of an aged face, marked by time and experience.
The composition focuses on the penetrating eyes, which seem to tell stories of lived experience, reflecting an introspective depth. The exquisite details of the wrinkles and skin textures are rendered with remarkable precision, enhanced by a subtle use of light and shadow. The choice of earthy tones lends the work a palpable warmth and humanity. The hand resting against the face accentuates a sense of quiet contemplation, while the asymmetry of the composition adds a captivating visual dynamism.
This work does not simply depict a face; it evokes a presence, a story, transforming observation into a profound emotional experience. It demonstrates not only technical mastery but also a rare artistic empathy.
Presentation
Frédérique Samama is a French painter, born in 1969, in Paris.
A graduate of the Auguste Renoir High School of Applied Arts in Paris in 1987, Frédérique continued her development in the art world as an auctioneer's clerk.
It was in 2018, after being invited to present her first paintings, that she decided to devote herself fully to her passion.
The human figure at the center of his work. Faces between appearance and disappearance which show the fragility of our humanity.
