Description
This artwork, inspired by the retro aesthetic of advertising posters, presents a striking image. At its center, an iconic figure dressed in a black suit and top hat holds a gold coin adorned with a dollar sign, evoking wealth and success. The bold text "NATIONAL LOTTERY" is displayed in capital letters, emphasizing the theme of luck and gambling. The vibrant, contrasting colors captivate the eye, while the graphic style recalls the world of the well-known board game. The design blends nostalgia and humor, offering a playful yet critical perspective on the pursuit of material happiness. This creation questions the value of money in our society, while remaining accessible and engaging for the viewer.
Presentation
Dezache is a self-taught artist who lives and works in Normandy, France.
His work combines graffiti, collage and stencil, mostly on large format. His credo: anachronistic coupling, unpredictable encounters, unexpected or disturbing associations. His style is sometimes offbeat, sometimes confusing as he likes to stage almost playfully the American hegemony and its consequences.
More recently, Dezache has worked on more various and urban supports like gas cans or signs. He places no limits to his creativity.
