Oil painting Winter Vasily Korkishko is a serene mountain landscape that demonstrates the artist's confident command of atmosphere, color harmony, and expressive texture. Korkishko masterfully depicts a winter panorama using layered oil paint and subtle tonal transitions, creating a deep sense of space and crisp frosty air. Snow-covered trees are rendered with energetic yet controlled brushstrokes, conveying both structure and softness, while the distant blue mountains dissolve gently into the horizon. The restrained palette of cool whites and nuanced blues enhances the feeling of silence and grandeur. The artist avoids excessive detail, allowing light, rhythm, and composition to lead the viewer's eye naturally through the scene. This work reflects a mature artistic vision, strong technical discipline, and a refined understanding of winter light. A high-quality original oil painting, it is an excellent choice for collectors who value atmosphere, balance, and professional landscape craftsmanship.

Vasily Korkishko, Winter
Ukraine  • 1961

Presentation

Korkishko Vasily was born in 1961 in the village of Kuntsevo, Poltava region, but has been living in Dnepropetrovsk for many years

. After the Kharkov art school in 1985 he graduated from the Kharkov art-industrial institute. 5 years later, after participating in republican and all-Union exhibitions in Kharkov, Kiev, Moscow, Korkishko became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, although this was then approved in Moscow by the Union of Artists of the USSR.

Landscape occupies a significant place in the work of V. Korkishko. The landscapes express the artist's special reverent feeling before nature. He is attracted to itself, at times, by its barely perceptible states, which each time give the landscape new content. His landscapes are lyrical, they touch the heart and the poetic motives, and the heartfelt color scheme. The movement of the soul is felt in each of his works.

Since the mid-1990s, Vasily Anatolyevich has become a participant in numerous all-Ukrainian and international expositions:

1995 - International Biennale of Ukrainian Art "Pan-Ukraine" (Dnepropetrovsk); 2000 - International Art Festival in Kiev;

2003 - International plein air of artists "Stubichke Toplis" (Croatia); - exhibition "40 names" in Dnepropetrovsk;

2004 - International plein air of artists "Stubichke Toplis" (Croatia);

2005 - personal exhibition at the Vysheslav National Gallery (Nin, Croatia); - personal exhibition in the Cathedral of St. Peter and Andrew the Old (Zador, Croatia); - personal exhibition in the municipal gallery of the city of Kamiz (island of Vis, Croatia);

2006 - personal exhibition in the city of Zador (Croatia); - All-Ukrainian spring exhibition of fine arts (Dnepropetrovsk); - All-Ukrainian exhibition of fine art "Magic colors of the Dnieper" (Dnepropetrovsk);

2007 - XVI International plein air of artists Ivano-Frankivsk-Orebic (Ukraine-Croatia); - All-Ukrainian art Christmas exhibition (Kiev); - jubilee exhibition of fine arts DONSKHU-50 (Dnepropetrovsk-Kiev);

2009 - All-Ukrainian exhibition of fine art "Magic colors of the Dnieper" (Dnepropetrovsk).

The artist's works are kept in the Ukrainian Cultural Fund, are included in private collections of collectors in Ukraine, Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Australia, Cyprus, Croatia, USA.
