Description
"Touching the Sea" | Contemporary Oil Canvas Artwork in Teal and Deep Blue with Expressive Water Reflections.
“Touching the Sea" presents a poetic exploration of presence and movement. A delicately rendered hand extends into luminous teal water, where light fractures into sparkling highlights and subtle ripples. The composition isolates this single interaction, transforming a simple gesture into a powerful meditation on awareness and connection.
Painted in oil on canvas, the artwork features dynamic, layered strokes that give the water dimensional richness. Shades of deep blue, sea green, and soft aqua blend seamlessly, creating transparency and depth. The tactile quality of the paint enhances the realism while maintaining an expressive vitality.
This piece elevates contemporary interiors with refined calm and visual freshness. Perfect for coastal homes, spa-inspired spaces, modern apartments, or curated gallery walls, it brings natural light and emotional resonance into any room. It also makes an exceptional gift for collectors, water enthusiasts, or anyone seeking artwork that conveys serenity, elegance, and quiet strength.
Presentation
Aisylu is an artist born and raised in a small town in Russia, where she studied the basics of painting and graphics at Bashkir State Pedagogical University (2009-2014). During her time in higher education, she launched her own handmade jewelry online shop, which she ran until 2013. After completing her studies, she worked as an artist-designer for an advertising company while also creating commissioned paintings.
In search of a major life change, Aisylu moved to Greece in 2018 to work as a yacht stewardess. It was during this time at sea that she realized how profoundly the ocean influenced her, inspiring her to return to art and focus on creating oil seascapes. Starting her life from scratch, she learned the Greek language and immersed herself in the local culture.
Currently based in the port city of Piraeus, Greece, Aisylu works as an artist in the luminism–neo-impressionist style. Her art serves as a reminder of the fluidity of life and the importance of not forgetting to enjoy it. Her artworks are in private collections in Italy, Cyprus, Greece, the Netherlands and Russia.
