Description
This abstract artwork is a dynamic composition where colors and shapes merge in a fascinating balance. Vibrant hues of blue, yellow, and green are harmoniously juxtaposed, while touches of white and black add depth and contrast. Using mixed media, the artist incorporates collage elements and varied textures, creating a sense of movement and complexity. Black graphic lines and patterns, resembling scribbles, traverse the canvas, adding a dimension of mystery and emotion. Subtle fragments of calligraphic text emerge, suggesting a hidden narrative. The overall piece is a true sensory awakening, captivating in its ability to invite the viewer toward a personal and introspective interpretation. This work stands out for its boldness and subtlety, offering a visual experience that is both energetic and thoughtful.
Presentation
A box of colored pencils from Venezuela, a gift from an aunt. And suddenly, the world opened up—a world of questions, a gateway to the paths of painting. I was five years old. Since then, painting has never left me, nor has that box of colored pencils. As a self-taught artist balancing a passion for art with family life and a professional career in special education, I have constantly nourished my vital need for creation, pursuing it intermittently but always with passion. At the age of thirty, as a mother of two, I made possible a dream I once thought inaccessible: joining the School of Fine Arts. For one year in Reims, as an independent student, I trained in printmaking techniques through evening classes.
My painting sits at the edge of abstraction and figuration. Implementing a wide variety of textures and diverse techniques, I enjoy staging elements that seemingly have nothing in common, yet together manage to create a singular harmony. Combining collage and mixed media, my creation is intuitive and deeply shaped by my perspective as a woman.
