A box of colored pencils from Venezuela, a gift from an aunt. And suddenly, the world opened up—a world of questions, a gateway to the paths of painting. I was five years old. Since then, painting has never left me, nor has that box of colored pencils. As a self-taught artist balancing a passion for art with family life and a professional career in special education, I have constantly nourished my vital need for creation, pursuing it intermittently but always with passion. At the age of thirty, as a mother of two, I made possible a dream I once thought inaccessible: joining the School of Fine Arts. For one year in Reims, as an independent student, I trained in printmaking techniques through evening classes.

My painting sits at the edge of abstraction and figuration. Implementing a wide variety of textures and diverse techniques, I enjoy staging elements that seemingly have nothing in common, yet together manage to create a singular harmony. Combining collage and mixed media, my creation is intuitive and deeply shaped by my perspective as a woman.
