Description
This captivating artwork is an abstract composition that skillfully marries vivid colors with varied textures. The dark background contrasts with bright shades of turquoise blue, creating a striking sense of depth. Geometric elements, such as rectangles and squares, are arranged asymmetrically, introducing an intriguing visual dynamic. The collage of text fragments and graphic patterns adds a mysterious narrative dimension, prompting deep contemplation. Touches of red and orange bring warmth and energy to the overall piece. Each element seems to tell a story, in dialogue with a complex inner landscape. This work stands out for its bold use of mixed media, its play on contrasts, and an unexpected harmony that evokes a poetic exploration of space and time—a masterpiece of modernity and artistic reflection.
Presentation
A box of colored pencils from Venezuela, a gift from an aunt. And suddenly, the world opened up—a world of questions, a gateway to the paths of painting. I was five years old. Since then, painting has never left me, nor has that box of colored pencils. As a self-taught artist balancing a passion for art with family life and a professional career in special education, I have constantly nourished my vital need for creation, pursuing it intermittently but always with passion. At the age of thirty, as a mother of two, I made possible a dream I once thought inaccessible: joining the School of Fine Arts. For one year in Reims, as an independent student, I trained in printmaking techniques through evening classes.
My painting sits at the edge of abstraction and figuration. Implementing a wide variety of textures and diverse techniques, I enjoy staging elements that seemingly have nothing in common, yet together manage to create a singular harmony. Combining collage and mixed media, my creation is intuitive and deeply shaped by my perspective as a woman.
