Description
This abstract artwork, bathed in vibrant hues of yellow, purple, and pink, captures the shifting essence of an imaginary landscape. Fluid brushstrokes and bursts of color evoke nature in full bloom, seemingly dancing beneath a blazing sky. The upper portion, saturated with a brilliant yellow, suggests intense sunlight. In contrast, the violet and pink shades blend in a hypnotic harmony, forming floral silhouettes that appear to rise and stretch. The visible texture and depth of color create movement, captivating the viewer and evoking an aesthetic that is both turbulent and serene. This work encourages contemplation and invites personal interpretation, making each viewing unique and renewed.
Presentation
A box of colored pencils from Venezuela, a gift from an aunt. And suddenly, the world opened up—a world of questions, a gateway to the paths of painting. I was five years old. Since then, painting has never left me, nor has that box of colored pencils. As a self-taught artist balancing a passion for art with family life and a professional career in special education, I have constantly nourished my vital need for creation, pursuing it intermittently but always with passion. At the age of thirty, as a mother of two, I made possible a dream I once thought inaccessible: joining the School of Fine Arts. For one year in Reims, as an independent student, I trained in printmaking techniques through evening classes.
My painting sits at the edge of abstraction and figuration. Implementing a wide variety of textures and diverse techniques, I enjoy staging elements that seemingly have nothing in common, yet together manage to create a singular harmony. Combining collage and mixed media, my creation is intuitive and deeply shaped by my perspective as a woman.
