Description
This artwork features a mesmerizing spiral pattern composed of overlapping curved elements, predominantly in varying shades of blue. Each piece resembles a shingle meticulously arranged in a swirling motion, converging towards the center, which draws the viewer's eye inward. The interplay of light and shadow on these elements creates a dynamic, almost tactile texture, enhancing its visual depth. Noteworthy is a single vibrant purple shape breaking the monotony of blue, introducing an intriguing focal point and offering a unique contrast. This detail disrupts the uniformity, imbuing the artwork with a sense of spontaneity and distinct character. The precision in each component's placement demonstrates remarkable craftsmanship, while the overall composition invokes a sense of movement and continuity. The piece is both harmonious yet striking, showcasing a balance between order and creative variance, and evoking an impression of infinite depth and complexity.
Presentation
Born in 1977 in Yerevan, Armenia, Aykaz Arzumanyan is a professional painter. He grew up close to the mountains Ararat, by the famous Hrazdan river where Noah settled with his ark.
In 1993, he moves with his parents to Russia and studies art law at the MGOU University. Being a legal practitioner, he is in touch with artists and galeries and organizes exhibitions of international scope. These years of accompanying and frequenting artists ignites his desire of creating his own artworks. Aykaz Arzumanyan devotes then his life to art.
After several trips to France, he moves there permanently in 2004.
Today, he is a renowned plastic artist and painter, whose studio is a laboratory where he explores techniques and materials. The artist has developed over the years a unique style, abstract and modern at the same time.
Each stroke is applied on the canvas with a great precision. The slightest slip-up causes him to begin the painting from scratch. However, his acute meticulousness does not prevent him to pour love into his work. Indeed, photographs of his paintings fail to do justice to his creations.
