Description
True to Ostapoff's style, this painting is rich in material, the consistency is thick.
Presentation
Born in 1946 in Lyon and nephew of the painter Cottavoz, Jacques Ostapoff joined the Lyon School movement and printed his personal paste there like a brand. Ostapoff began painting at the age of 35. His first exhibition in 1983 at the Roosvelt hotel in Lyon. “Ostapoff paints by day in natural light in a room filled with light. A canvas will be tender, violent, opulent, generous but the dream will always be the impulse of this canvas and somewhere the painter is reborn… ”Le Petit Louvre, à la Pacaudière. The work hypnotizes the gaze and welcomes it. Ostapoff's painting offers the freedom to surrender to a multitude of fluid, vivid and essential impressions.
