For this artist, painting is a way of preserving the beauty of nature exactly as she feels it. She works in the academic style because it allows her to stay true to the landscape — to its light, mood, harmony, and quiet perfection. Her goal is not to change nature, but to capture it with sincerity and care.
“I work in the academic manner because this is how I see and feel the landscape. I am drawn to revealing the beauty of nature as it truly exists, without altering it, because it is already perfect in its own way. My goal is to bring the image as close as possible to reality and to preserve the authenticity of what I see.
From childhood, I was surrounded by landscape painters who worked in the academic tradition. I also grew up in a place of remarkable natural beauty, where I never felt the need to change anything — only to capture and convey it. This shaped both my perception of the world and my artistic path.
I believe there have always been, and always will be, artists who seek new and experimental forms, as well as those who strive to reflect nature truthfully and objectively. I see myself as one of the latter.”
