Skadi
Inversalisme® — Brushed dibond aluminum, ink, engraving.
What the cold crystallizes, it makes eternal.
Skadi is the Norse goddess of the mountains, the hunt, and winter. Giant and deity at once—this duality itself says everything about her. She descends from the highest peaks, where the air is so pure it takes your breath away, where the light on the snow blinds with beauty before it illuminates. She was depicted strapping on her skis at the top of the world, her bow drawn toward what no one else dared to aim for. She does not hunt out of necessity. She hunts because she alone stands where all others would flee. Skadi lived alone in her mountains after what the gods had taken from her. She refused their pity. She chose the heights. This solitude is not a lack—it is the luminous condition of those who see what cannot yet be seen from below.
Seek the runes. Not with your eyes—with that which precedes your eyes and has never forgotten their ancient language. They are there, etched into the deep blue of transmuted matter, patient and alive like seeds beneath the snow. Each symbol is a key that unlocks a corridor of light you have already traversed—in a childhood dream, in an inexplicable shiver, in that suspended moment between waking and sleeping when something within you knows what the day has not yet fully articulated.
The glacial aether. Not absence—the radiant quintessence. It emerges from aluminum like an ice crystal emerges from water that consents to freeze—according to geometries no one has decided, yet of dazzling perfection. The highest fixation. What one seeks a lifetime—to make permanent the flash of truth glimpsed at the summit, when the light shifts and suddenly everything is simple and clear and vast.
The engraved runes keep open this passage between its height and your depths. They guard the permeable border for you—those edges between the nine Nordic worlds where the veil thins without ever tearing, where passages were recognized not by a sign but by a gentle warmth in the cold air. By that luminous sensation that something has just crossed the border to come and meet you. You are in one of these places. The brushed surface knows it. It vibrates differently depending on where you stand, depending on the inner altitude you carry this morning.
Stare for a while. Close your eyes. The afterimage that appears is what the runes have been holding for you since before you knew they existed. A key. A height. A way to see far.
The great hermetic works could not be explained.
They looked at each other for a long time.
In the luminous silence.
Until matter sings.
She sings.
Listen.

Carole Framezelle – Creator of L'Inversalisme®
An alchemical painting, a passage between worlds
Carole Framezelle explores the boundaries of perception through L'Inversalisme®, a pictorial and vibratory approach she has trademarked. Her work questions the relationship between light and shadow, visible and invisible, offering a sensory experience where the image transforms before the viewer's gaze.
Each work is born from an initial pictorial gesture, executed on canvas or paper. Then, like a reverse daguerreotype, the image undergoes a transmutation where light and color reinvent themselves. This transformation does not freeze the work: it animates it, giving it a unique vibration, evolving according to the viewing angle and the light intensity.
Inversalism®: an alchemy of the gaze
Inversalism® is based on a subtle exploration of perception and the phenomenon of afterimage. When a viewer gazes at an inverted work for a long time, their gaze instinctively reconstructs the hidden image. This play of light and shadow creates a lasting impression, a resonance that persists beyond the moment of contemplation.
This sensory dialogue is at the heart of Carole Framezelle's work. She seeks not only to represent, but to make us feel: each creation becomes a passage, a door to another reality, where the viewer is invited to interact with the work.
An exclusive and protected process
Far from a simple chromatic inversion, his work is the result of in-depth research into light and matter. Each painting undergoes several phases of transformation, resulting in a composition fixed on a noble and resonant support, whose surface captures and transforms the light.
The resulting works seem to evolve with the time of day, offering a different interpretation with each glance. This unique approach, combining pictorial art, visual illusion, and transmutation, makes each creation a vibratory imprint, a balance between materiality and mystery.
Acmiya: a vibrational signature
Each of Carole Framezelle's works bears the Acmiya signature, symbolizing an artistic quest in which art becomes a bridge between worlds. Her creations are not simply contemplated; they challenge, question, and resonate.
Paint differently. Invert the light. Reveal the invisible.
