Description
This work speaks about a meeting – a moment in which trust begins to emerge. It can be a meeting with another person or a meeting with oneself. It is a subtle state where something shifts: a sense of closeness appears, sometimes instantly, and sometimes gradually, through presence and shared experience.
Trust and closeness do not follow a single сценарій. They can arise immediately, without effort, or grow over time. There are moments when it feels as if we have already known each other, as if the meeting was meant to happen, as if it had been planned long before. There is something deeply personal and at the same time universal in this – each meeting has its own rhythm and meaning.
In my memories, nature has always been the space where such moments are felt most deeply – near water, among trees, in silence. It is there that noise fades away and clarity appears, allowing a connection to be felt – with oneself, with others, with the world.
In my practice, I archive moments where trust was born and where it was lost. This is my way of expressing, reflecting on, and understanding my experience – like gathering fragments of memory into a whole. Through this process, I arrive at a feeling that everything that happens has its place and meaning, as if it was created for me.
This work reflects duality – between closeness and distance, knowing and uncertainty, loss of faith and trust. The painting invites the viewer to turn to their own experience, to feel its many moments, to reflect on them, and to understand that everything happens for a reason, that everything is part of a greater whole – and to learn to trust the world.
