Description
This artwork merges abstraction and figuration, skillfully playing with shapes and lines. Against a neutral background, black strokes dominate, forming a delicately sketched female silhouette. A bold curve, reminiscent of a moon or a black crescent, overhangs the composition, adding a mystical dimension. In the center, touches of bright yellow provide a striking contrast, immediately drawing the eye and breaking the monochrome. Textures vary, from fluid, dynamic lines to areas of intense color, creating a perceptible sense of movement. The use of black and yellow, however simple, is masterfully handled with a complexity that evokes emotion and depth.
This girl with the moon embodies both the stars and the earth. Her long hair undulates, the striations anchor her to the ground while her moon diadem projects her into the stars.
This work invites contemplation, arouses curiosity and remains unforgettable for its ability to combine simplicity and sophistication in a harmonious whole.
Presentation
FROM CHAOS TO THE LIVING BEING
When I paint or draw, I start from chaos, I begin to paint spontaneously simple elements, forms, lines, surfaces arranged without preconceived ideas on the canvas. These elements intertwine, associate and give birth to complex forms. I reveal then by drawing on this bottom: figures, members, bodies, objects.
This creates diversified characters, which come from the chaos and inscribe their reality. It is a spontaneous, physical and spiritual act.
