Description
Bananas and Orange balances between still life and visual metaphor. A monumental bunch of bananas dominates the composition, rendered with bold outlines and rhythmic repetition that echoes the raw, minimalist energy of The Velvet Underground. The contrast between the deep blue background, the warm red surface, and the luminous yellow forms creates a sense of tension and quiet intensity. The small orange, placed almost casually nearby, introduces a note of irony and scale distortion, reinforcing the work's playful yet unsettling mood. This painting explores repetition, obsession, and the poetry of everyday objects transformed into symbols through sound, memory, and color.
