Attraversiamo II, 2025

Ron Mills-Pinyas

“Attraversiamo II" is made by applying acrylic paint over a canvas with tarnished metallic pigments. The painting is mounted on a stretcher but could be removed to ship the canvas rolled in a tube, if that's more convenient. Please contact Villa del Arte for more information on framing and shipping options.

This piece presents a fusion of earthy tones, dominated by rich browns, warm oranges, and subtle golds. The composition evokes a sense of geological layers, expertly capturing the essence of a natural landscape. The texture is intricate, with a dynamic interplay between rough, granular patches and smoother, shimmering sections. Striking gold flecks interspersed throughout the piece add a sense of luxury and depth, drawing the eye across the canvas. The seemingly organic flow of colours and textures creates a visual journey that invites contemplation and exploration.

Ron Mills says: "In an era increasingly mediated by the frictionless digital interface, human consciousness has succumbed to what contemporary neuro-aesthetics define as a "controlled hallucination". To conserve biological energy, our brains project safe, static grids and pre-packaged concepts onto the wildness of being. My current work in the studio is a radical dissent against this flattening of the world".
