Description
The artist painted this picture from a life study in his studio in February 2026. He painted the life study in one sitting in Tsaritsyno Park. This painting is a real quiet frosty winter landscape, masterfully capturing the calm beauty of a snowy area. In the center of the composition is a delicate pastel sky, smoothly shifting from a soft yellow to a delicate shade of blue, creating an atmosphere of late evening. In the foreground is a pristine snow cover dotted with intricate shadows of bare trees. The play of light and shadow is artfully depicted, adding depth and texture to the snowy expanse. Two majestic poplar trees are depicted in the center of attention: one stands with snow—covered branches, and the other is austere but elegant, its shaded trunk creates a striking contrast with the light snow. The careful attention to detail of the branches and the diffused light give the painting a sense of calm and quiet, evoking the peaceful solitude of a winter day. The frame emphasizes the natural harmony of the piece.
