Laundry flutters on lines strung across a sunlit old courtyard in this richly textured palette-knife study. Narek Qochunc captures the quiet poetry of a tucked-away corner of the city — weathered façades in warm ochres and cool greys, a worn wooden staircase, and bright flashes of blue, yellow, and red linen catching the light. Built almost entirely with thick, sculptural strokes of the knife, the surface comes alive with tactile energy, the impasto giving every wall and shadow a vivid sense of age and atmosphere. Intimate and nostalgic, this small canvas distills the warmth of everyday life in an old neighbourhood, where morning light and drying washing tell a humble, human story.
