Description
Lush figs glow in rich violet tones of abundance and luxury.
This contemporary oil artwork transforms the humble fig into a symbol of richness, creativity, and sensual beauty. Built with expressive impasto brushwork and saturated violet hues, the composition celebrates the visual abundance found within nature's most luxurious forms. Open figs reveal jewel-like interiors bursting with texture, color, and movement, while layers of purple, plum, lavender, and deep burgundy create a sumptuous atmosphere that feels both elegant and alive.
Inspired by the symbolic connection between figs and prosperity, the artwork explores themes of abundance, fertility, creativity, and hidden treasures. Thick applications of oil paint create a tactile surface where every brushstroke contributes to the feeling of richness. The artist allows color to become almost sculptural, transforming fruit into an immersive landscape of texture and light.
The dominant violet palette evokes luxury, imagination, intuition, and artistic power. Deep purples flow into luminous lilacs and crimson accents, creating visual depth that continuously reveals new details. There is a playful sophistication here—a reminder that nature sometimes designs better luxury goods than any fashion house ever could.
Collectors searching for fig artwork, purple still life artwork, contemporary oil painting, impasto fruit artwork, luxury wall art, violet abstract still life, modern botanical artwork, textured oil canvas, rich purple interior decor, and contemporary collectible artwork will find this piece particularly captivating.
Perfect for modern interiors, dining rooms, luxury kitchens, wine rooms, boutique hotels, contemporary homes, and curated art collections. It also makes an exceptional gift for food lovers, chefs, wine enthusiasts, art collectors, designers, and anyone drawn to rich color, abundance, and sophisticated contemporary decor.
Medium: Oil on canvas
Presentation
Mily ART (Emiliia) is a contemporary painter based in Ubud, Indonesia. She graduated in 2015 from the Russian University of the Academy of Education in Moscow with a degree in Fine Arts.
Working primarily in oil with a palette knife, Emiliia creates expressive impasto paintings defined by rich texture, bold color, and dynamic movement. Her visual language is built through thick layers of paint, flowing drips, and energetic strokes that emphasize the physical presence of the medium. The surface of the canvas becomes an active field where color, light, and gesture interact.
Nature is the central source of her inspiration. Flowers and landscapes encountered during her travels transform into emotional landscapes—vivid, blooming compositions that reflect vitality, freedom, and renewal. Her ongoing series Flowing Flowers explores the sensation of awakening life, using intensified hues and sculptural impasto to convey emotional release and movement.
Emiliia often begins with plein air studies or travel photography, later developing these impressions into large-scale works. Rather than reproducing nature, she translates its energy into tactile color fields, allowing paint itself to embody growth and motion.
Her work has been presented in international and national exhibitions, including The Color of Summer at the Ostankino TV Tower (2024) and The Flower Kingdom at the Moscow Union of Artists (2022), where her painting Peonies received First Prize. She held a solo exhibition at IZO Gallery in Moscow in 2019.
Through expressive oil painting and sculptural texture, Emiliia creates contemporary works that celebrate the emotional power of nature—inviting viewers to slow down, feel presence, and reconnect with color as a living force.
