“Soft Strength”, 2026

Iryna Rets

The works from this series were exhibited at ART KYIV Fair 2026 and later presented as part of the artist's solo exhibition “Points of View" at MODI Art & Wine Gallery, Kyiv.
“Soft Strength" is a quadriptych from the series “From Simple to…" about calmness, balance, and inner grounding. The image of the sheep conveys a sense of simplicity, warmth, and trust in familiar things that support us in everyday life.
The series includes the works “Exist," “Hear," “Exhale," and “Savor." In this series, the sheep symbolize simple routines: actions, rhythms, and repetitions that help restore balance when everything around us is changing. One of the central ideas of the work sounds almost ironic: no matter what happens, sheep are still sheep. It is this simple constancy that creates a feeling of calm and quiet strength.
The quadriptych works well as a complete art piece for a contemporary interior — a living room, bedroom, office, or relaxation space. The light palette, minimalist composition, and recognizable sheep imagery make this series feel warm, peaceful, and meaningful at the same time. This minimalist animal painting combines contemporary figurative art, neutral tones, and an atmosphere of quiet balance.
