Description
The painting “Everyday Frames" explores the theme of restrictions on women's freedom through the prism of everyday life. The yellow and white cells are both a visual reminder of everyday orderliness and the restrictions that women may feel in their usual roles—as wives, mothers, and guardians of the home. These cells can be associated with floor tiles, bars, or even the pattern of a kitchen tablecloth — a familiar, habitual, but at the same time closed space.
The chickens, similar in color to the cells, blend into the background, becoming part of the interior, as if losing their individuality. They are a metaphor for a woman who loses her identity, dissolving into everyday life. But at the same time, it is also a manifestation of resistance, because even when disguised, these “chickens" are present, they are alive, they are watching, they have not disappeared.
The inscription “private zone" adds another layer of meaning. It can be both a hint at the intimacy and inviolability of female space and its isolation — private does not always mean free.
The painting suggests that the confines of everyday life can be both a cozy shelter and a golden cage. It is in this tension between a woman's inner strength and external constraints that the image of the modern female presence is born — hidden but unbreakable.
