Description
Geometric balance guides the gaze. A vertical ochre band structures the composition. It asserts itself with rigor on a pristine white background.
To the right, a yellow plane is inserted diagonally. The precision of the line meets the lightness of the collage. Fine lines and black dots punctuate this solar surface.
The dialogue between the forms is established through a play of shadows. A gray gradient, diffuse and vaporous, seems to float between the elements. This blur contrasts with the sharpness of the edges.
The acrylic work on paper explores the tension between flat areas and transparency. The composition plays with depth while remaining anchored in abstraction.
The whole exudes a serene clarity. Each element occupies a measured space. The piece is dated 1997.
