Description
This work masterfully depicts a bustling street lined with classic Parisian buildings. The red and ochre brick facades, adorned with tall, elegantly aligned windows, captivate the eye. The Haussmannian architecture is characterized by meticulous details, such as cornices and balconies. In the foreground, a line of modern cars creates a striking contrast with the timeless elegance of the buildings. The vibrant color nuances, highlighted by touches of light, bring a dynamic energy to the scene. A slightly cloudy sky in the background adds atmospheric depth to the composition. This painting captures both the contemporary energy of urban life and the architectural heritage, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the vibrant heart of Paris.
Presentation
Jacques A. Robert was born April 5th, 1944 in Paris. A figurative painter, he enjoys a prestigious listed status in the online market.
At the age of 14, he started painting with oil but it was not until the age of 30 that he took the next step and exposed his works to the public for the first time. Since then, he has accumulated exhibitions and awards, in France as well as abroad.
Jacques Robert explains that his work is about freedom and sincerity. He uses the "plein-air" (outdoor painting) process, which allows him to "breathe his art at the top of his lungs." This is particularly evident in his interpretations of water, whether they are marine landscapes or paintings of Venice. Robert paints spontaneously, using excessive gestures that are in harmony with the material and color. His work is created and presented without calculation, and is always intensely emotional.
