Description
This abstract work presents a striking contrast of colors and textures. The canvas is dominated by a broad band of deep burgundy that crowns the composition. Below it, a sky-blue section traverses the space, evoking an illusion of depth and movement. This blue band is flanked by touches of off-white, which soften the work and introduce a sense of tranquility. An ochre area with irregular contours subtly intrudes, adding an earthy and organic dimension. The artist uses vigorous brushstrokes and layers of paint that create a perceptible relief, emphasizing the tactile aspect. The bold transitions between shades capture the attention, offering a dynamic visual experience. This painting, through its balance between chaos and harmony, invites deep contemplation and provokes introspective reflection.
Presentation
My paintings have been exhibited nationally, and some have been purchased abroad. For me, colors and shapes are the basis of abstract painting. I express myself primarily on wood or heavy linen canvases. These supports allow me to feel closer to reality and thus find greater balance in my work. I use various media such as binders, plaster, acrylic, charcoal, pencils, rare pigments, varnishes, and collage in my artistic process.
"The primary purpose of the material is not to give a sense of volume to the work. It must be left in its imprint state, it must remain, nevertheless, as a founding part of the project, upon contact with it the work comes to life."
