Description
This abstract acrylic painting explores the interplay of light, color, and organic forms. Luminous yellows contrast with deep indigo, soft violet, and rich burgundy tones, creating a layered composition inspired by the natural world. Expressive brushstrokes and shifting textures evoke fragments of an imagined landscape, bringing depth, movement, and atmosphere to the canvas.
Presentation
Yulia Bulashenko (1990) is a Barcelona-based visual artist working primarily with abstract painting. Her practice explores color as a language through which to approach memory, emotion and the perception of place. Her compositions bring together organic and archetypal forms, intuitive gestures and shifting chromatic relationships, drawing from ancient visual languages and imagined landscapes.
Her background in film and visual media has influenced her approach to atmosphere and visual composition. In recent years, her work has evolved towards larger scales and a more material and research-driven practice, exploring the relationship between landscape, pigment and place through photography and experimentation with natural elements.
