Description
An animal scene comes alive under a blazing sky. Silhouettes of zebras emerge from a bath of light. The composition plays with warm tones, oscillating between ochre, yellow, and brown.
The line is free. The artist uses acrylic to create an effect of fluid movement. Water and earth merge in a mix of organic textures.
This figurative approach gives way to intuition. The shapes are drawn with a certain lightness, almost dreamlike. The group of animals seems to move in a suspended space, between reality and dream.
The balance of colors evokes the warmth of a twilight or the brilliance of a dawn. The material is worked to suggest the splashes and the density of the ground.
This 2020 creation testifies to a deep connection with nature. The eye is drawn to the contrast between the force and the softness of the atmospheric shades. Each brushstroke emphasizes the wild grace of these creatures.
Presentation
To liberate, through painting and writing, the themes that are dear to my heart.
After attending several workshops and working with different techniques, I chose watercolor and acrylic a few years ago.
This nuanced and sensitive approach reflects my personality. That's why I practice watercolor with mixed media on canvas or paper (watercolor, acrylic, collage, ink), and gravitate towards semi-abstract or abstract art. This pictorial path, this "process" of mine, stimulates my creativity, grants me joyful freedom in the interplay of colors, and opens me up to a dreamlike world.
I mostly paint "intuitively," meaning I apply colors according to my mood, collages, water, and let it dry.
I work on wet paper, progressing according to the drying times. Then I examine my painting from all angles to identify what my subconscious has wanted to reveal. This allows me to paint and write about themes close to my heart: the protection of children and the vulnerable, of nature, and of the abuse of power. I then work on what emerges until the piece is complete.
My painting is free, fluid, easy… and comes directly from my soul. It is a reflection of my unconscious.
I published my first book in 2022, "The Power of the Soul: Being Yourself in Transparency." I just published my second book in 2023, "Creative at Heart: The Intuitive Breath." A few words accompany the presentation of my works, but each reader is free to interpret them as they see fit.
