Description
This abstract composition explores light and color with great freedom. The gesture is assured, mixing flat areas with lighter touches.
The acrylic stretches in vertical and horizontal bands, creating an architectural rhythm. Shades of solar yellow and bright pink contrast with areas of white and neutral gray.
The material accumulates in places, bringing a subtle relief to the surface. These chromatic blocks interlock to suggest a stylized urban landscape, viewed from above.
The visual balance rests on the alternation between warm tones and cool accents, like this soft green that punctuates the canvas. The light seems to emanate from the center of the image, diffusing a serene atmosphere.
The whole exudes an immediate clarity. The paint is applied with precision, allowing the superposition of layers to be hinted at. This 2025 work stands out for its luminous palette and its simplified geometric forms.
Presentation
Chrystel Viannay is an artist born in 1971 in Côte-d'Or. Her strength lies in her ability to transform the intimate into light. Through painting, she transcends her shadows and makes her heightened sensitivity a true source of creation. Her work then becomes a space of resilience, a place of poetic exorcism where emotions are metamorphosed into colors.
Her vibrant and luminous canvases celebrate life in its simplest and most precious aspects: the small joys of everyday life, suspended moments, fleeting bursts of happiness. Brilliant colors, dynamic forms, and graphic rhythms compose a delightfully dreamlike universe, imbued with a self-assured childlike gentleness.
For Chrystel Viannay, preserving her childlike spirit is not nostalgia, but a choice. It's the choice to look at the world with wonder, to experience it with serenity, and to offer everyone a work that soothes as much as it amazes. Her paintings are like windows opening onto a life re-enchanted.
