Super Mondriaan Drip, 2025

Paapi

Pop Art takes an iconic figure here to explore visual deconstruction. The artist uses acrylic to create a marked contrast between the rigor of the lines and the fluidity of the material. The character, frozen in an expression of tension, seems to dissolve under the effect of vertical drips. This technical process brings an organic dimension to an initially graphic image.
The composition is organized around blocks of primary colors. Blue, red, and yellow structure the space in geometric segments. This division recalls comic book codes while introducing a modern abstraction. The black line, precise and assertive, emphasizes the musculature and facial features with technical rigor. Each colored area is applied in sharp flat areas, accentuating the two-dimensional aspect of the scene. The whole plays on the duality between the hero's strength and the fragility of the dripping paint. This 2025 creation questions the permanence of popular symbols through a contemporary prism. The final rendering is characterized by intense chromatic saturation and meticulous work on the shadows.
