Description
All works are the same and numbered 1/8 - 8/8.
This mixed media artwork is a lambda c-print on fine art paper between dibond [bottom] and acrylic glass [top] . Ready to hang, combining painting techniques to create a photo-impressionist style.
A vibrant collision of media. This artwork merges the precision of a C-print with the tactile energy of acrylic. A central, organic form dominates the composition. It resembles a weathered stone or a celestial body. This focal point is fractured. It reveals a hidden, swirling interior. A single spark of red punctuates the center. This contrast creates a powerful emotional tension.
The background is a rhythmic dance of geometric shapes. Bold colors intersect in a chaotic yet balanced arrangement. Plexiglass adds a layer of depth and luminosity. The artist explores the boundary between the raw and the refined. He transforms a chaotic universe into a structured wonderland. The piece balances imperfection with a refined aesthetic. It invites the viewer into a mystical space. Every layer speaks to the complexity of human existence. The interaction between the smooth photographic surface and the textured paint creates a rich sensory experience. The composition culminates in a sharp dialogue between the circular void and the surrounding angular planes.
Presentation
Geert Lemmers, free and liberal artist, Fine Photo Art, Painting and New Media.
Geert Lemmers was born in the mysterious Land van Maas en Waal in the Netherlands. His grandmother's stories about witches and secret societies have formed him as an artist.
He studied photography and photographic arts and worked as a freelancer for years making reportages and portraits for magazines and fashion photographs. After the digital revolution he could realize his dream by making art, the way he saw it. In 2008 Geert Lemmers won the professional art-price in his region and that was the start of a successful artistic career.
After years of collaboration with well-known painters, his possibilities only grew.
Geert Lemmers is interested in our world and in its cultural and sexual diversity. He works mostly project-based and his work is about "the world of people" as a sort of general research.
"The world of people is about men and women behind often beautiful looking facades in the middle of the chaotic universe we live in. I research the raw site of our lives represented as fairytales in a wonderland as a enlargement of our life. Enlarged characters in chaos, beauty and imperfection. In every new project I vary on this basic-entity."
Geert's works, however, are characterized [now that he is getting older] by an increasing need for abstract and highly simplified design, allowing more room for emotion and the mystical.
Geert's works are honored many times and his works were to be seen in several international art - magazines.
