All the 8 pieces are identical and numbered 1/8-8/8.
This mixed media artwork is a lambda c-print on fine photo paper on dibond behind acrylic glass. Ready to hang, combining painting techniques and photoart to create a photo-impressionist style.Â
A vibrant exploration of geometry and emotion. The composition balances structured forms with spontaneous gestures. Wide bands of deep crimson and soft rose dominate the upper register. These shapes stack with a rhythmic precision. Below, a skeletal structure emerges. It suggests a chair or a gateway. This central figure anchors the artwork. Layers of C-print and collage create a rich textural depth. Acrylic strokes add a tactile quality to the surface. Muted greens and earthy ochres provide a grounding contrast to the warm palette. The artist moves away from representation. He embraces a simplified design to evoke the mystical. Every line serves as a research into human imperfection. The interaction between the digital print and hand-painted elements creates a modern tension. It is a dialogue between precision and chaos. The gaze is drawn through the open frame of the central object. This opening invites the viewer into a curated wonderland of color. The piece concludes with a bold signature etched into the lower magenta band.

Geert Lemmers was born in the mysterious Land van Maas en Waal in the Netherlands. His grandmother's stories about witches and secret societies have formed him as an artist.
He studied photography and photographic arts and worked as a freelancer for years making reportages and portraits for magazines and fashion photographs. After the digital revolution he could realize his dream by making art, the way he saw it. In 2008 Geert Lemmers won the professional art-price in his region and that was the start of a successful artistic career.
After years of collaboration with well-known painters, his possibilities only grew.
Geert Lemmers is interested in our world and in its cultural and sexual diversity. He works mostly project-based and his work is about "the world of people" as a sort of general research.
"The world of people is about men and women behind often beautiful looking facades in the middle of the chaotic universe we live in. I research the raw site of our lives represented as fairytales in a wonderland as a enlargement of our life. Enlarged characters in chaos, beauty and imperfection. In every new project I vary on this basic-entity."
Geert's works, however, are characterized [now that he is getting older] by an increasing need for abstract and highly simplified design, allowing more room for emotion and the mystical.
Geert's works are honored many times and his works were to be seen in several international art - magazines.
