Description
This acrylic portrait explores the decomposition and superposition of human features. The face fragments into several planes, recalling the codes of cubism. Three gazes and three mouths intertwine on a deep black background.
The chromatic contrast emphasizes the tension of the subject. Flesh and ochre tones mix with touches of dark red. The composition plays on the duality between the profile and the face.
The line is precise, delimiting areas of light and shadow with rigor. The figure seems to oscillate between several simultaneous expressions. This figurative approach questions the perception of identity.
The technical execution brings a sculptural depth to the face. Each line guides the eye to a different point of tension. The work ends with a fluid signature in the lower right corner.
