Description
A powerful contrast defines this composition. A dense core of deep crimson and burgundy erupts from a sea of stark white. The texture is visceral. The central form feels organic, almost anatomical, pulsing with an inner intensity. Thick applications of pigment create a tactile relief. This creates a tension between the chaotic center and the serene periphery.
The white background is not static. Subtle ridges and sweeping curves suggest movement. They wrap around the red mass like a protective shroud or a receding tide. Every stroke adds a layer of emotional depth. The interplay of light and shadow emphasizes the physical presence of the paint.
This artwork explores the duality of passion and stillness. It captures a moment of raw energy frozen in time. The limited palette heightens the dramatic effect. The eye is drawn irresistibly to the saturated heart of the piece. It is a study of balance and eruption. The composition concludes with a singular, dark focal point that anchors the floating form to the canvas.
Presentation
Since 2009, she has taught at the secondary and tertiary levels, currently in the teacher training programs for "Art and Design" and "Technology and Design" at the University College of Teacher Education Styria. Building on the academic analysis of her master's thesis, "The Language of Material – Contemporary Textile Positions," she continued her research on the topic of "Textiles and the Body" in her doctoral studies, both scientifically and artistically. The textile material and its physical interaction with the human body are central to her investigations. The results of her research inform her artistic work, her lectures, and her teaching activities. She currently lives and works in Graz, Austria.T
