Description
Alkonost was considered a symbol of light sadness. The legend of the Alkonost bird tells of the maiden Alcyone, who, having learned of her husband's death at sea, threw herself into the depths. For this, the gods turned her and her husband into beautiful birds.
The paint is made in author's technique of painting by Vasili Zianko based acrylic painting on canvas using a variety of textures, washes, the finest glazing, volumetric contour readable for blind and visually impaired people by touch.
Presentation
Vasili Zianko creates in the so-called "ecological romanticism" style. One of the stylistic features of his art-works is an appeal to the heritage of Art Nouveau. The author's technique is based on acrylic painting on canvas using variety of textures, washes, finest glazes, but the most important - volumetric contours.
The originality paintings is the ornamental lines waviness of the natural forms from flora and fauna, as well as with slight asymmetry combination. The artist's art-works resemble dancing wavy arabesques and imbued with organic energy and vitality.
Through his art, Vasili explores the complex relationship between nature and humanity, philosophical problems, environmental concerns, violence, historical images and multifaceted characters.
