Description
In this sensory, elegant work, I depicted the very essence of human intimacy and profound connection. With this painting, I wanted to step into the quiet, sacred space of closeness, moving deliberately beyond the physical act to capture the delicate, shared breath between two souls. For me, this piece is not just about a kiss; it is about the visceral, magnetic pull that brings two people into a moment of perfect, silent understanding.
This composition is my meditation on vulnerability, passion, and trust. I used an expressive, minimalist technique, pairing a bold monochrome contrast with a vital, searing pop of scarlet red. Stripping away all unnecessary details, I focused purely on the emotional core: the delicate meeting of lips and the intensity of a close gaze. The thin, pulsing red line flowing across the canvas acts as an emotional artery, symbolizing the invisible bond that ties these abstract figures together. It is my visual interpretation of that rare moment when the outer world fades, leaving only pure, unfiltered closeness.
Presentation
Kristina Mallen, a painter with a background in oil and acrylic mediums.
Her recognisable style infuses the sophistication of Art Deco, the pop of Pop Art with a dominant focus on the female figure, manifesting elegance and eroticism. Her work exudes the extravagance, classical chic, and charm of women, striking a balance between provocation and the sublime.
