Description
The energy of Pop Art takes hold of a global icon here. Martin revisits a cult character with a resolutely contemporary approach. The black line, assertive and precise, structures the face while instilling immediate dynamism.
The acrylic saturates the space with bold colors. The vibrant red of the cap contrasts with a deep blue background. Projections of paint and splashes of markers break the rigor of the outlines. This play of textures recalls the codes of Street art and the urgency of urban creation.
The composition plays on rounded volumes and shadow plays that give relief to the gaze. Each line emphasizes the playful aspect of the scene. The technical execution testifies to a graphic mastery inherited from the art direction.

Originally from the area of Paris, Martin lives now in the region of Sarthe. From his training at the Corvisart School(Paris) he has always had a taste for visual representation and layout.
He obviously turned to the world of communication by starting a career as artistic director in several advertising agencies before opening his own agency. Since he is always searching for artistic emotions, Martin regularly comes back to the universe of painting, touching other creative fields which allow him to rediscover the essence of pictorial expression.
Since 2017, Martin is one of the artists listed in the Akoun-Drouot.
