One More Round, 2026

Antonina Bormova

This time, the artist turns to the feeling of comfort — a deeply personal state that each of us associates with our own images, people, and memories. For some, it is a familiar place; for others, the presence of loved ones, an unhurried conversation, or a day when the clock can simply be forgotten for a while. It is often from such ordinary moments that a sense of home, warmth, and ease takes shape.

One More Round places this idea within the atmosphere of shared leisure. The excitement of the game exists alongside the ease of being together, while competition remains only one part of the pleasure. There is room to argue, take risks, wait for the next move, and hope to win — knowing that the final result is unlikely to become the most important memory of the day.

Perhaps the value of such moments becomes clearer only with time. What remains in memory is not the score or the winner, but the atmosphere, the voices, familiar gestures, and the feeling that there was nowhere else you wanted to be. Sometimes wanting to play one more round simply means that you are happy exactly where you are.
