Description
Abstract art is expressed here by an instinctive projection of matter. The canvas becomes the field of a physical dialogue between the painter and their support.
The dripping technique dominates the composition. Drops of paint intertwine in a perpetual movement.
The colors clash without ever saturating the space. Blue, yellow, and red organize themselves into a multitude of dots and splashes.
The white background allows the whole to breathe. It brings a luminosity that emphasizes the depth of the visual field.
Each projection translates a raw energy and a need for escape. The gaze gets lost in this organized chaos, evoking a sensation of infinity.
The rapid and precise execution creates a sustained visual rhythm. The density of the pigments varies according to the areas, creating nuances of relief.
This work is part of the lineage of abstract expressionism. The composition ends with a fine dispersion of colored particles on the edges of the frame.
Presentation
Ito Dubois is a French painter born in 1989. Ito is originally from Toulouse, the city in which he lives and works.
He began painting very young, at the age of 14. Ito practiced painting all these years while studying law. At the end of his license, seeing the interest people have in his artistic work, he made the choice to devote himself fully to it.
Ito quickly specialized in the stream of abstract expressionism. It is through the technique of dripping - a technique that consists of projecting paint on the canvas with energy - that Ito puts his hyperactivity at the service of his painting. He feels the need to express the multitude of feelings, emotions that cross him, through a pictorial creative process.
His canvases, often large, are colorful and we find all his energy through his creations. For Ito, it is the expression of feelings, he puts a lot of energy into his paintings and delivers a real fight with his canvas.
It is also for him a way to escape to infinity, to let himself be transported, to travel.
Ito regularly exhibits at major events and international Contemporary Art Fairs and signs prestigious partnerships, most recently with BMW, Espaces Atypiques, etc.
His evolving style, Ito offers us new works where he mixes figurative and abstract by reappropriating icons and creating new artistic codes.
In perpetual evolution, Ito always offers us new works, in the continuity of his artistic field.
