Description
This oil painting explores the boundary between dream and reality. The gaze plunges into a dark elliptical opening. This organic tunnel guides the eye towards a luminous horizon. The chromatic contrast marks a sharp break between shadow and light.
Ochre, reddish-brown, and yellow tones frame the scene. The material seems sculpted, almost mineral. The gesture is free and spontaneous. Fluid lines suggest protective shapes or rocky walls.
In the center, a white circle evokes a star or a pearl. It floats in a pale sky that blends into a calm sea. This clarity brings immediate serenity to the whole. Light becomes the focal point of the image.
The expressionistic approach emphasizes the sensory aspect of the landscape. The oil technique allows for rich texture games. The brushwork creates a constant visual rhythm. The work plays with depth and perspective to invite contemplation. The painting ends with a discreet signature in the lower right corner.
Presentation
Born in Paris, I spent almost every summer in Provence in the region of Saint-Tropez. Almost 30 years in fashion gave me a passion for colors and they are a bit the signature of my painting. In December 2017, I left the Paris region for San Remo. I find there the warm colors of the south and the gaiety of the Italians. My pictures are optimistic. I like the fades of dry pastel, but also their lively features which give life to the drawing. I like the warm colors of the oil painting, the softness of the brush, but also the liveliness and the work of the material with a knife. My painting is "sensitive": I use the technique that best reflects my "impressions" and my "emotions". I feel "Expressionist".
