Still Life III, 2026

Stefan Georgiev

A vibrant celebration of nature and texture. This artwork presents two pomegranates in a bold, saturated palette. The fruits dominate the composition. Their skins glow with intense reds and deep oranges. Intricate linear patterns carve the surface. These lines create a rhythmic, organic energy.
A single fruit splits open. It reveals a dense cluster of ruby seeds. This detail provides a sharp contrast to the weathered exterior. The composition is framed by an ornate golden arch. This border suggests a sacred or ceremonial space. It elevates the humble fruit to a symbol of abundance and life.
The background features a clear blue sky. This cool tone balances the warmth of the foreground. Below the fruit, a patterned textile adds a layer of cultural richness. The play between the geometric frame and the fluid shapes of the pomegranates is masterful. The artist emphasizes the tactile quality of the organic forms. Every vein and seed is rendered with precision. The result is a powerful meditation on fertility and the beauty of the natural world. The piece blends traditional symbolism with a contemporary sense of color intensity.
