Description
No two people describe this painting the same way. Some see a ballet tutu caught mid-turn, the tulle still holding the movement after the dancer has stopped. Others see the moment water hits water — a splash frozen at its widest point. Others read it as a waterfall seen from below, the fall broken into light before it reaches the bottom. The work does not settle on one of these, and the shift between them is what keeps it alive on a wall.
What every reading shares is water: not water as a subject, but water as behaviour — weight that turns into lightness, a form that holds together only while it is moving.
The surface is built in acrylic under a poured layer of epoxy resin. The resin gives the work real optical depth: the lower layers stay visible through it as if under a film of water, and the reflection changes with your position in the room, so the painting never looks quite the same twice. In daylight it opens and cools; under warm evening light it closes and deepens.
Exhibited at Art Capital, Grand Palais, Paris, 2026.
The painting also appears in Seven Voices, the studio's filmed series of conversations with artists and collectors about how a contemporary work enters a private space — the episode follows this piece from the studio into the room it now belongs to.
Turik & Art is the studio of European artist Kseniia Turik, based between Paris and Marbella, working in acrylic, epoxy resin and lacquer on large formats for private residences.
This work features in Seven Voices — the Turik & Art interview series, in which architects, designers and private collectors respond independently to the same painting, revealing what a work says about the person who lives with it. The episodes on Aurelium of Gogengame are on the Turik & Art channel on YouTube, in the Seven Voices playlist.
Hand-signed on the front, branded brass plaque "TURIK & ARTS" on the side edge, Certificate of Authenticity included. Ships stretched on its frame, double-boxed, insured.
Presentation
I am a contemporary abstract artist working under the name Turik & Art, with a background in luxury interior design. Over the past 25 years, I've worked with private clients to create refined interiors — and each time, I found myself searching for the perfect artwork to complete the space. That search eventually led me to create my own.
My artistic journey evolved naturally from my design work, and now I focus on creating one-of-a-kind pieces that carry emotion, movement, and energy — artworks that not only exist within a space but transform it.
I've had the honor of exhibiting at landmark venues including Art Capital at the Grand Palais (2025), 3F Paris (Porte de Versailles) and the Carrousel du Louvre, and my works are now in private collections internationally and in the Metropolitan Art Museum in Tokyo.
Each piece I create is unique. Upon request, I also offer commissioned artworks tailored to your interior's color palette, energy, and atmosphere — making your space truly personal and exclusive.
I am the author of Seven Voices — a documentary project in which seven people meet a single painting for the first time and answer the same seven questions, independently and without knowing what the others said. All episodes are on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLeSzSNgnyUU0
