Description
Une Présence, 130 × 97 cm, acrylic and textured relief paste on canvas, 2026.
A woman under a wide cobalt hat, her black hair thrown sideways by wind that also moves through the white ground behind her. The face is turned slightly down, the eyes closed. She is inside her own moment, and the viewer is not part of it.
The palette is deliberately narrow: cobalt blue, warm white, black, and a single warm ochre for the skin. The hair is drawn in long, fast strokes that break into separate filaments at the ends, and thin lines of gold run along its edge, catching light where the black meets the skin. The stillness of the figure against the speed of everything around her is the subject of the work.
The dress is worked in textured relief paste, combed into close diagonal ridges that follow the fall of the fabric. Blue was drawn through the paste while it was still wet, so the colour sits inside the furrows rather than on top of them, with occasional threads of gold. Seen frontally the dress reads as white; in raking light the lower half of the canvas becomes a field of small shadows that changes through the day.
The painting continues around the edges of the stretcher and needs no frame. Its scale suits a single uninterrupted wall.
Turik & Art is the studio of European artist Kseniia Turik, based between Paris and Marbella, working in acrylic, epoxy resin and lacquer on large formats for private residences. The studio is also the author of Seven Voices, a filmed series of conversations with artists and collectors on how contemporary work enters a private space.

Presentation
I am a contemporary abstract artist working under the name Turik & Art, with a background in luxury interior design. Over the past 25 years, I've worked with private clients to create refined interiors — and each time, I found myself searching for the perfect artwork to complete the space. That search eventually led me to create my own.
My artistic journey evolved naturally from my design work, and now I focus on creating one-of-a-kind pieces that carry emotion, movement, and energy — artworks that not only exist within a space but transform it.
I've had the honor of exhibiting at landmark venues including Art Capital at the Grand Palais (2025), 3F Paris (Porte de Versailles) and the Carrousel du Louvre, and my works are now in private collections internationally and in the Metropolitan Art Museum in Tokyo.
Each piece I create is unique. Upon request, I also offer commissioned artworks tailored to your interior's color palette, energy, and atmosphere — making your space truly personal and exclusive.
