Description
Dorée — figurative work in acrylic and textured relief paste on canvas, 130 × 97 cm.
A woman turns away from the viewer, and what holds the eye is not her face but her hair — a mass of gold and bronze built up in relief, thick enough to catch the light and hold it. The paste is worked into ridges and hollows that behave like real matter rather than pigment: warm gold in the raised passages, deeper bronze pooling in the shadows between them. As you move past the canvas, the whole surface shifts with you. What reads as smooth from one angle breaks into texture from another.
Against this warmth, the dress is a deep, muted green — cool, almost still, absorbing the light the hair throws off. The contrast is the quiet engine of the painting: gold that moves, green that holds. The figure itself is handled with restraint. The contour of the shoulder, the line of the neck, the turn of the head — everything is pared back so that the material can speak. This is figurative painting approached from abstraction: the subject emerges out of the surface rather than being drawn onto it.
Conceived for a wall that can hold it. At 130 × 97 cm the work carries a room without competing with it, and the pairing of gold and deep green is warm enough to live with daily.
The work is sold stretched on its frame, hand-signed on the front, with a branded brass plaque "TURIK & ARTS" set into the side edge. A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies the painting.

Presentation
I am a contemporary abstract artist working under the name Turik & Art, with a background in luxury interior design. Over the past 25 years, I've worked with private clients to create refined interiors — and each time, I found myself searching for the perfect artwork to complete the space. That search eventually led me to create my own.
My artistic journey evolved naturally from my design work, and now I focus on creating one-of-a-kind pieces that carry emotion, movement, and energy — artworks that not only exist within a space but transform it.
I've had the honor of exhibiting at landmark venues including Art Capital at the Grand Palais (2025), 3F Paris (Porte de Versailles) and the Carrousel du Louvre, and my works are now in private collections internationally and in the Metropolitan Art Museum in Tokyo.
Each piece I create is unique. Upon request, I also offer commissioned artworks tailored to your interior's color palette, energy, and atmosphere — making your space truly personal and exclusive.
