Description
This is one of five paintings inspired by James Ballard's short story “The Gardens of Time."
The painting depicts a garden in which all the roses have already been picked. Time is running out. The hourglass contains not sand, but rose petals, which gradually bring time closer to its inevitable end. This inevitable end can be seen as the conclusion of a certain period, a feeling, or even a life cycle.
