Description
Painted by hand — no screen print or stencil.
This artwork carries the unfiltered spirit of youthful freedom — filled with lightness, confidence and the raw, optimistic energy reminiscent of the iconic 1980s film , starring the young Sophie Marceau. The rebellious attitude of that era meets the expressive depth of contemporary street art, transforming nostalgia into a bold and deeply personal statement about freedom and self-determination.
At the centre of the composition stands a young woman whose posture radiates inner strength and effortless independence. She appears free from expectations and social boundaries — completely herself and ready to follow her own path. Her presence conveys an energy that is at once confident, playful and full of possibility. The title captures this state of being: freedom within freedom, a force that needs no explanation or permission, existing both outwardly and deep within.
A particularly striking element is the presence of the light-blue palm trees in the foreground. Their unexpected colour gives the scene an almost dreamlike sense of lightness. The soft blue evokes a clear sky, open horizons and the feeling of limitless possibility, while becoming a visual symbol of freedom itself. The palms seem to bring a fragment of tropical escape into an urban world — unexpected, liberated and full of joie de vivre.
The richly textured surface of the canvas reinforces the artwork's distinctive urban character. Layers, traces and expressive brushstrokes create the impression of a fragment taken directly from a living city wall. Between rough materiality and luminous colour, the work creates a dynamic dialogue between past and present, reality and memory, the city and the desire for freedom.
Liberté En Liberté is ultimately a celebration of the courage to remain true to yourself — and of that powerful moment in life when freedom is no longer simply a feeling, but a choice.
Presentation
tizlu aka Tiziano Lucchese is an internationally known ultra-contemporary artist. He studied Art and Technology in the Netherlands and lives in Germany. His works as a multi-talented artist have been featured on television and showcased at prestigious international festivals. In addition to his work in the fine arts, tizlu worked as a director for commercials and fictional movies and editor for prime-time shows on major TV networks. His art is part of renowned fairs and private collections across the globe; from New York to Paris, from Australia to Canada.
tizlu's paintings appear as they were directly cut out of a living streetscape—where everything is possible, and nothing is mainstream. His artwork is the result of a refined blend of materials and techniques. He uses plaster, paper, and acrylic paint to create textures that evoke the appearance of weathered walls. On this foundation, he paints his unique motifs, layers drawings, messages, self-made stickers creating an art piece which becomes an urban patchwork reflecting the raw, spontaneous character of the streets and today's society.
