Description
Miguel Nuñez's art embodies the perfect balance of balance, realism, depth and texture, comparable to the finest still lifes. His aim is to capture real moments in time in his paintings, evoking the simple beauty and timeless elegance of classic subjects such as a glass of wine or a slice of lemon. With a combination of light and shadow, a fascination with the reflective properties of light, stunning use of color and graceful technique, Nuñez makes each image exceptional and lifelike. His works often reveal more than what we would see with our own eyes.
Copa No. 26 is an exceptionally detailed painting, executed in oil on linen and framed beautifully. This unique work of art comes with a certificate of authenticity. The painting can be admired in our gallery in Amersfoort and is also available in our art loan. You can also easily purchase Copa No. 26 online. After your order, we will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment.
Miguel Angel Nuñez (Maldonado, Uruguay 1966) has exhibited his paintings both nationally and internationally, including in Brazil, Panama, Argentina and Uruguay. Through realism and hyper-realistic still life paintings, he seeks to capture not only the accurate appearance of an object or figure, but also the spirit, soul and beauty in each of his subjects. His artistic practice revolves around the study of light and textures, and his incredibly detailed compositions are created using oil paint on canvas or wood.
Miguel A. Nuñez was born in 1966 in Maldonado, Uruguay. From an early age he was fascinated by drawing and began studying the work of local painter Manolo Lima. During this time, he discovered his passion for art and decided to pursue a career as an artist. Despite Uruguay's economic challenges, he remained determined and took apprenticeship courses at the Urban School of Visual Arts from 1985 to 1994. Here he was taught by Carlos Tonelli and Miguel Battegazore, the latter of whom taught him the techniques of hyperrealism.
Miguel maintains an inquisitive attitude toward his talent and continues to take training courses to further develop his skills. He recently received a scholarship to the Arauco Foundation in Madrid, where he works with established teacher Guillermo Muñoz Vera and artist Antonio López. Since 1996, he has also been a professor at the Urban School of Visual Arts. Miguel has exhibited his works in numerous collective exhibitions in several countries, including Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and the EU.
