Description
Miguel Nuñez's art embodies the perfect balance of balance, realism, depth and texture, comparable to the most refined still life paintings. With his paintings, including Copa No. 27, he strives to capture authentic moments in time. His work evokes the simple beauty and timeless elegance of classic subjects such as a glass of wine or a slice of lemon.
Nuñez's paintings are a model of craftsmanship. His combination of light and shadow, his fascination with the reflective properties of light, and his impressive use of color make each image exceptional and lifelike. Sometimes his works reveal even more than what we can see with the naked eye.
Copa No. 27 is an exceptionally detailed painting, made with oil on linen and framed beautifully. As a one-of-a-kind piece, this artwork comes with a certificate of authenticity. The painting can be admired at our gallery in Amersfoort and is also available through our art loan. In addition, you can easily purchase this artwork online.
Miguel Angel Nuñez, born in 1966 in Maldonado, Uruguay, has exhibited his works both nationally and internationally, including in Brazil, Panama, Argentina and Uruguay. Through realism and hyper-realistic still life paintings, he strives to capture not only the accurate appearance of an object or figure, but also the spirit, soul and beauty in each of his subjects.
From a young age, Miguel was fascinated by drawing. He began studying the work of local painter Manolo Lima and thus discovered his passion for art. Despite economic challenges in Uruguay, he remained determined to pursue his dream. From 1985 to 1994, he took apprenticeship courses at the Urban School of Visual Arts, where he was taught by Carlos Tonelli and Miguel Battegazore. Battegazore later taught him the techniques of hyperrealism.
Nuñez continues to develop his skills and recently received a scholarship to the Arauco Foundation in Madrid. Here he works with established teachers such as Guillermo Muñoz Vera and artist Antonio López. Since 1996, he has also been a professor at the Urban School of Visual Arts. His works have been exhibited in numerous collective exhibitions in several countries, including Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and the EU.
Presentation
Through realism and hyper-realistic still life paintings, he seeks to capture not only the accurate appearance of an object or figure, but also the spirit, soul and beauty in each of his subjects. Nuñez's artistic practice revolves around the study of light and textures. His incredibly detailed compositions are created using oil paint on canvas or wood.
